ETHIO TOUR, TERMS AND CONDITIONS
CANCELLATIONS:
➢ Booking through our website! We confirm that your reservation has been successfully processed and the payment has been received via PayPal. Clients have the option to extend their booking up to several months in advance; however, early modifications or changes to your current booking dates are not permitted. Please note that payments are non-refundable.
For bookings made through direct contact and payment, our cancellation policy will apply accordingly.
Cancellations of confirmed bookings by clients due to personal circumstances or other reasons will be automatically subjected to a 75% cancellation fee of the total tour price. ➢ Cancellations received 60 days up to 45 days before commencement of the tour are subject to an 80% cancellation fee of the total tour price. ➢ Cancellations received 44 days up to 30 days before commencement of the tour will incur an 85% cancellation fee of the total tour price. ➢ Cancellations received 10 days up to 5 days before commencement of the tour will incur a 95% cancellation fee of the total tour price, plus advance payments already made by Ethio Tour for services such as domestic flights, hotels, and transportation, which will not be refundable by third parties. ➢ Cancellations received less than 5 days before the tour will be subjected to full payment (100%). If a tour has to be stopped early due to personal circumstances of the client after commencement, Ethio Tour cannot guarantee any refund but will do its best to refund expenses that are not yet paid. If one or more clients cancel a tour and the remaining clients wish to continue, the price will be adjusted for the remaining clients, and those who have canceled will be required to pay the aforementioned cancellation fees. If remaining clients don’t agree with the new tour price, Ethio Tour is not obligated to conduct the tour.
CANCELLATIONS BY CLIENT(S) OR BY ETHIO TOUR IN CASE OF NATURAL CALAMITIES, POLITICAL UNREST, OR WAR will follow the same conditions as mentioned above. We strongly recommend our clients to obtain cancellation insurance.
REFUND POLICY: Please be aware that approved cancellation refund requests will take 10-12 weeks from the date of approval by Ethio Tours management.
RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY: The staff of Ethio Tour will conduct every tour to the best of their ability as agreed with each individual client. If you have any complaints during the tour, please contact the Ethio Tours office in Addis Ababa as quickly as possible so we can work to resolve the issue. However, Ethio Tour cannot be held responsible for cancellations due to unrest, war, or natural calamities, nor for over-bookings by third parties such as hotels, airlines, transport companies, or other travel agencies. While we make every effort to use safe, well-insured vehicles and materials, and take care to safeguard our clients and their belongings, Ethio Tour cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal goods, nor for consequences of sickness, accidents, or calamities. All extra costs resulting from above-mentioned situations are the client’s responsibility.
Ethio Tour will do its best to assist clients in dealing with third parties in cases of need, such as theft, sickness, injuries, or other calamities. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Ethiopia. Our clients are required to travel with good travel and health insurance.
PRICES: Tour prices can be provided upon request. Prices are not fixed but depend on infrastructure costs (which vary seasonally), hotel, salary, fuel prices, and currency exchange rates. ETHIO TOUR reserves the right to adjust prices until 35 days before the commencement of the tour. Once the total tour price has been paid by the client(s), no further adjustments will be made.
FLEXIBILITY: Clients acknowledge that the nature of budget travel in Ethiopia requires considerable flexibility and should allow for alternative arrangements. The outline itinerary provided for each tour should be seen as an indication of what the group may achieve, not as a contractual obligation from the company. It is understood that routes, schedules, itineraries, amenities, and modes of transport may be subject to alteration without prior notice due to local circumstances, including sickness, mechanical breakdowns, flight cancellations, strikes, political disputes, climate, disease, or other unpredictable circumstances. We also prioritize flexibility to accommodate any requests from clients during the tour, especially for customized tours in Ethiopia and tours in the stunning Danakil Depression.
